Copenhagen Pride

Curious about the differences in LGBTQ+ rights, gender diversity, and societal norms between Asia and Scandinavia?

Join us on August 7th for a cozy, conversational evening as we dive into “An Introduction to LGBTQ+ in Taiwan vs. Denmark.” Don‘t worry, this isn’t an overly serious lecture! We are keeping things relaxed and fun as we bring together three insightful TAD member speakers, Théo, Trif and Ai Ting, to explore concepts like Cisnormativity, Social Gender, and Taiwan‘s nonbinary advocacy landscape.

This is the perfect warm-up for the Copenhagen Pride Parade (on August 15th!) Come hang out, learn about Taiwan’s pioneering gender diversity in Asia, and connect with the community.

What to expect:

-An intro to get to know our three speakers.

-A casual, yet informative presentation full of interesting insights.

-A massive time for an open Q&A session where we can just chat!

-A welcoming space to meet Danish, European, and Taiwanese folks in or allied with the LGBTQ+ community.

Space is very limited! To keep the discussion intimate and friendly, we are capping attendance at 20-25 people. Secure your spot quickly!

 Date: Friday, 07 August

 Time: 17:30 - 19:30

Location: The Taipei Representative Office in Denmark (2F, Amaliegade 3, 1256 København)

2026 August 15 Copenhagen Pride: Join Team Taiwan!

Tradition Reimagined: Gods Bless All Love!

Ready to march with pride on the streets of Copenhagen this summer? Jointly organized by the Taiwanese Association Denmark and the TCCDK 丹麥臺灣商會, the Team Taiwan at the August 15th Copenhagen Pride is bringing a spectacular cultural feast that fuses traditional beliefs with modern equality!

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Copenhagen Pride. With the theme “Pride: Until the Job Is Done!”, Copenhagen Pride reminds us that Pride is not only an annual celebration, but an ongoing journey toward equality, respect, and inclusion.

Cargo E-Bike Team

The Taiwan Pride in Denmark is providing Taiwan Rainbow Flags, a powerful speaker, and a practical cargo bike to keep our spirits high and the music loud all the way!

The Gods Descend: Nezha and Tu'er Shen Take the Streets

A special thanks to  瑞典臺灣協會/TASweden for sponsoring two magnificent "Nezha" (The Third Prince) figures! This year, the Taiwanese Association Denmark proudly presents the theme "Tradition Reimagined: Gods Bless All Love." Nezha and Tu'er Shen (The Rabbit God) will march together in Copenhagen, loudly proclaiming Taiwan’s inclusion and pride in gender diversity.

The Spirit of Nezha (The Third Prince)

Nezha symbolizes the brave rebellion against oppressive authority and the breaking of traditional boundaries. Representing youth and vitality, he is the patron saint of "being yourself." Riding on his wind-and-fire wheels, he empowers us to fearlessly forge our own paths!

The Spirit of Tu'er Shen (The Rabbit God)

Tu'er Shen is the Taiwanese patron deity who oversees and blesses same-sex love and marriage. His presence signifies that love transcends gender and is pure and equal. He gently reminds the world that all forms of love deserve divine blessing.

Tu'er Shen Outfit Design Concept

The handmade headdress preserves the luxurious structure of traditional Taiwanese Opera while boldly incorporating cute rabbit ears and rainbow-colored beads. This stylish cultural mix symbolizes Taiwan's dedication to proudly celebrating diversity and every kind of love through our most honored traditional crafts!

On August 15th, wear your proudest colors and march with Nezha and Tu'er Shen. See you on the streets of Copenhagen!
